  • Bottom Navigation (MobileNav) - Mobile and tablet screens
  • App Launcher - Dropdown menu on both desktop and mobile

For detailed information on each navigation type, see Chapter 5 (Desktop vs. Mobile Experience). This section provides a quick orientation to get you started.

Kora includes search functionality to quickly find animals, locations, tasks, or records.

Where to Find Search:

  • Look for search box (typically in header or near navigation)
  • May have magnifying glass icon
  • Available on both desktop and mobile

What You Can Search:

  • Animals: By name, ID, species, tag number
  • Locations: By name, subdivision, GPS coordinates
  • Tasks: By description, assigned user, animal
  • Observations: By date, user, symptoms, severity
  • Treatments: By medication, animal, date

Using Search:

  1. Click or tap search box
  2. Type your search term (name, ID, keyword)
  3. Results appear as you type
  4. Click/tap desired result to navigate to that record

Search Tips:

  • Use partial names (search "Dai" finds "Daisy")
  • Use IDs for exact matches (search "A001" finds animal with ID A001)
  • Use animal type filters if available (narrow to cattle only)
  • Recent searches may be suggested

Quick Animal Lookup: Search is fastest way to access specific animal records when you know the name or ID. Faster than navigating through animal lists.

Common Navigation Questions

Where do I find [specific feature]? Use App Launcher to see all available modules. If a feature is not visible, you may not have permission to access it (contact instance administrator).

Why do I not see all the features mentioned in documentation? Features visible depend on your user type and permission level. Not all users see all features (e.g., AMR Dashboard only visible to users managing antimicrobial treatments).

Can I customise navigation? Limited customisation available. Side navigation can be collapsed/expanded on desktop. Widget arrangement may be customisable on some dashboards. Contact instance administrator for organisational navigation customisation.

Navigation changed when I switched devices. Is this normal? Yes. Side navigation (desktop) automatically becomes bottom navigation (mobile/tablet). Same features, different presentation. See Chapter 5.

How do I get back to where I was? Use browser back button, or navigate via side/bottom navigation. Kora maintains your browsing context.
